THANKSgiving!

Spending Thanksgiving in Barcelona with my best friend (Kens, obviously...if you haven't noticed from all the entries/photos with me and the girl with the firey red hair) in an apartment with 12 other people...when it is only supposed to fit 8? oops?  All I can say is that this Thanksgiving will not be like any other previous Thanksgivings I have ever had. I was actually supposed to come back to Luxembourg and spend Thanksgiving by myself because there were no cheap flights to Edinburgh but the dean had heard about my situation, called me in, and we spent a good hour and a half figuring out the cheapest, most efficient way for me to be with my friends on Thanksgiving day.  I could not be more thankful for such an amazing dean. WHO DOES THAT??? He was looking through a thousand french websites with his ancient computer, cursing in French and finally finding a quick and cheap route to Barcelona on an overnight train with a couple other people from my art class.  He said that he understands that Americans really value Thanksgiving and he did not want to take that away from me.  It wasn't a big deal that I would be spending Thanksgiving by myself because I have already been able to travel to so many places around Europe and I was so thankful for my parents and my sister for funding my trip but now I am simply speechless.  People are so gracious and wonderful... ah, what a great way to start off my class trip to Lyon! I cannot wait to make a homemade Thanksgiving dinner next Thursday!

Celebrating a very merry Thanksgiving,
J.
